Just wanted to share our honest feedback here. So, we booked our rooms through Goibibo a way before a month since we knew there will be a hell a lot of rush during Pongal holidays. Initially we were super skeptical since I was seeing a lot of negative reviews posted by everyone. But to our surprise, it wasn't that bad. Since we booked through an online site, our room was allocated to the basement of the hotel (which we didn't expect, lol) apparently another guest who checked-in with us also faced the same situation. The rooms were pretty decent, no complaints. Coming to the breakfast buffet, it was kinda okay. They had a mini south indian breakfast setup along with tea/coffee. We seriously felt it could have been better to attract the guest attention. I am pretty sure those who pay a huge amount to stay in the A shaped villas will definitely feel it's a reallyyyy disappointing breakfast buffet...! For a budget friendly room, this breakfast option provided by them is okay Next, the hospitality was really good and the owner of the hotel was super friendly with us. No complaints about them since he guided us thoroughly being our first visit to Yercaud. So, If you are looking for a budget friendly family room and a limited breakfast option, you can go ahead and book them through a call because as I said the online sites allocated a basement room for us with a zero mountain view.

Ambience was too good to enjoy time with family and kids even with friends. We really loved the indoor & outdoor games, open theatre and camp fire. Even the complimentary breakfast was good. Helping staffs are so kind to treat. Overall we loved this staycation.

Apparently its a Family resort, and you cannot drink n smoke here ! I respect the privacy of everyone but on the other side its a hill station and people do enjoy these things with family too ! So just consider this if you are booking it online, as they are very strict about this rule it seems, also they dont give the room to bachelors.. so another thing to consider.. thanks. I didnt get a room here so no experience about the hospitality, just keeping it here as FYI

I stayed at Friday Inn Yercaud on 6th and 7th December 2025. While the room size and cleanliness were good, the overall experience was very disappointing. Smart Door Issue: If you step out of the room even for a momentlike visiting a neighbouring roomthe door locks automatically without any warning. When I asked the management, they simply said we must carry the key even for a single step outside. This is extremely unsafe. At one point, I stepped out for an urgent phone call while my 2-year-old was sleeping inside. The door almost closed, and if it had locked fully, my child would have been stuck alone, and the hotel doesnt even have a duplicate key. This is a serious safety concern. Poor Service: Food service is extremely slow. Any food order takes a minimum of 1 hour, and even tea or coffee takes 1.5 hours. For the price they charge, this level of service is unacceptable. Value for Money: I paid 12,000 for two suite rooms and 700+ for food. While the rooms and food were fine, the service quality and management attitude do not justify charging 6,000 per room per night. Even the TV was not working properly. Overall, Instagram gave a completely different impression. I trusted the good presentation online, but the actual experience was disappointing. This resort seriously needs to improve its service quality and guest safetymeasures. Adding few more points. NO JIO AND AIRTEL TOWER INSIDE THE ROOM. AND YOU WONT GET ANY WIFI SIGNAL PROVIDED BY THEM INSIDE ROOM. We suffered with kid without wifi and signal tower. Think before you visit.

We booked the A-Type premium stay at Friday Inn after being influenced by the beautiful videos and promotional content. We even traveled from Chennai only to experience this property. The booking was finalized at 8,000 per night (discounted from 12,000). Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Issues faced during the stay: Lack of promised amenities: No welcome fruits/snacks, only one bottle of water provided. Restricted enjoyment: Swimming pool timings limited to 15 PM (in very cold weather) and indoor games restricted to 68/9 PM, which felt more like hostel rules than a leisure stay. The pool itself was dirty with insects, cleaned only after we complained. Indoor facilities like billiards and gym were not allowed, with staff claiming under maintenance. Noise disturbance: We couldnt sleep at night due to loud hammering noises, later discovered to be woodpecker activity on the property. Water crisis: Both toilets in our villa ran out of water. My wife (already suffering back pain) and 8-year-old child were trapped inside for over an hour in the cold until water was manually brought in. Staff were unhelpful, arguing among themselves instead of resolving the issue quickly. Rude management response: Instead of handling the situation respectfully, the management behaved rudely, even telling us to vacate without brushing or breakfast. The way they spoke to my wife was unacceptable. Threatening behavior: Upon leaving, the management threatened us not to write negative reviews and even filmed our family and car without consent. Final Thoughts: The property looks nice in videos, but the reality is misleading. Facilities are poorly maintained, services are restricted, and management lacks professionalism and basic courtesy towards guests (especially families and women). We left feeling harassed and disrespected. Not recommended for families.
