Stayed here for 2 nights as a couple and really enjoyed our time. The best part of this property is definitely the location. It's right in front of the lake, so the views are beautiful and the whole place feels very peaceful. The room was clean and comfortable. One thing to keep in mind is that there aren't many vegetarian food options nearby, but the restaurant inside the hotel serves good food, so we mostly ate there. A special thanks to Jaimin, who really made our stay memorable. He took us on a walk through the property's own spice, fruit, and vegetable plantation, explained everything along the way, and even offered us fresh fruits. He was genuinely helpful and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. Overall, we had a great experience. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax by the lake, this is definitely worth considering.

Had a wonderful stay at the resort! The ambience was beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful throughout our stay. The food was also good, and the facilities were well maintained. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. A great place for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. Highly recommended! I can also make it short & classy, premium/luxury style, or more personal and emotional. Best place to stay with family, friends, or as a couple. The view was fantastic, and the staff along with their services were excellent. All staff members were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist. The food was also delicious. They even provide contact details for everything needed for a comfortable stay, including cabs, auto-rickshaws, boats, houseboats, emergency services, and more. Highly recommended for a relaxing and hassle-free experience

Illikkalam lakeside cottages is a peaceful & budget friendly stay option . Rooms were very clean , service was efficient. Staff is super polite & helpful & go out of their way to provide you with things that you need. As a North Indian travelling to Kerala for the first time , the stay felt welcoming. Food is basic but tasty . The main point of attraction is the view of the property, this is on the Wembanad lake & you can just sit outside your cottage & enjoy the view with coffee/tea 24*7. Akhil is super helpful . Would love to visit again.

We booked two lake-view cottages at Illikalam Lakeside Cottage, and the whole environment was so peaceful and relaxing. The lake was visible as far as we could see, and sitting in the easy chairs while enjoying the sunset was such a beautiful experience. Our two-year-old was also very happy and spent a lot of time playing around the property. They have an organic farm as well, and they kindly showed it to us. They freshly picked papaya, star fruit, and dragon fruit straight from the trees and gave them to us. I tried star fruit for the first time! They also prepared fresh ladys finger fry and cucumber salad using vegetables freshly picked from their farm. The non-vegetarian food was also very tasty. Just make sure to inform them in advance if you would like to have food there. The only thing I felt was slightly expensive was the food. Apart from that, we had absolutely no complaints. Asha akka at the reception and Kishore, the room boy, were both very friendly and attentive. Especially Salim sir, the owner of the cottage, was extremely down-to-earth and helpful. From the moment we booked the rooms, he personally coordinated everything for usfrom arranging cabs from Kottayam and bike rentals to arranging an auto for our Malarikkal visit. Overall, it was a very peaceful, warm, and memorable stay, and we would definitely love to visit again.
