Hands down, Periyar Inn Thekkady is one of the best properties Ive ever stayed at. The entire place is so beautifully maintained by the owner and has such a peaceful, aesthetic vibe filled with greenery everywhere. It truly felt like we were staying in a dreamy novel-like home surrounded by plants and nature. The location is also perfect very close to Periyar National Park, the elephant camp, the Kalari show area, and with easy access to the local market as well, making everything very convenient. Despite being surrounded by so much greenery, we had absolutely no issues with insects or mosquitoes, which was honestly impressive. Thank you so much for hosting us and making our stay so memorable. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Thekkady!

We stayed at Periyar Inn for two days at around 1,200 inr per night (got some app discount). We didn't opt for the breakfast option while booking, which was an oversight on our part. The hosts were absolutely amazing-friendly, warm, and incredibly welcoming. The room itself was spotlessly clean, had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, and, most importantly, reflected the tremendous thought that has gone into every little detail to make the stay comfortable. Our room was located at the back of the property, which offered a great deal of privacy. The property is beautifully filled with plants and greenery. Sitting on the balcony in the morning with a cup of tea makes you feel almost as though you are staying in a forest resort. The hosts are also happy to arrange just about anything on request, whether it's Ayurvedic massages, Kathakali or Kalaripayattu tickets, cab bookings, or even calling an auto-rickshaw to take you to the market. You can also request tea or coffee, or ask for hot water in a thermos if you're carrying your own tea or coffee. Simply an unmatched option in the area at this price point. Highly recommended!

I'll start off by saying that the rooms and the overall location was surreal, it was very pretty and made the stay much more pleasant. The host has put much care into maintaining the property and it shows in how beautiful it is. The rooms were clean, very livable and overall welcoming. The host also helped us to book our tickets for the cultural events that we planned to attend and was super helpful and kind. Would recommend this stay for anyone looking for a peaceful place in touch with nature.

Excellent little homestay in Kumily! Room was great and still cool in the hot season despite no AC so dont let that worry you. The hosts are kind and helpful and have a lovely little garden and veranda area. The inn is close to Periyar tiger reserve and walking distance from most of the meeting points for treks and hikes. The keralan breakfast was a nice touch!
