We stayed here for two days. It's a couple of miles from Munnar town. The location is quite secluded, but picturesque and quite. The hotel itself was a little old but that added to the charm. We got a room with balcony that faced west, allowing for some amazing sunset views. The most notable thing about the stay was the food, especially the "pepper chicken" which is 10/10 recommend. Overall the stay was pretty chill! Rooms need to be renovated a little bit.

A beautiful stay at a very best price. They offered the best service, we requested candle light dinner and they agreed ( Extra cost). Rooms were big and clean with a beautiful view. Ambience was nice. Complimentary breakfast was also good. Only thing I felt okay was the dinner provided. Apart from it, the best stay if you are looking near to Munnar town (Around 5 kms)

I stayed in Shamrock 3 years ago and left a 5 star rating on Google back then and my review is still active but regretfully service has dropped at Shamrock in the last few years. I had a reservation at Shamrock for 5 days from 9th June 2026. The view at Shamrock is still absolutely breathtaking thats why we came back and considered the same property for our Munnar stay. But service has fallen a lot. Plumbing issues from day 1 with cherry on top experience on the last day of no hot water. I was left mid-shower with ice-cold water on checkout day in a hill station. Staff tried to arrange luke warm bucket water which was of no use.The plumbing issue was bought to the attention of staff on day one but no plumber arranged to fix the issue. Basic requests like water glasses took 24+ hours to receive it despite multiple reminders. Food had no taste due to chef changes at property which ruined meals. Bathroom and room had mold, cobwebs and insects. I had to use spray myself purchased from pharmacy in market. Staff were polite and trying but understaffed. I even skipped the complimentary breakfast 2 days because staff were focused on a large group and ignored long-stay guests. Management needs to fix maintenance, hygiene and staffing to match the view. A stunning view alone isnt enough for a good holiday.

I would never recomend this hotel. I booked this hotel from Agoda on 8th May for 27th - 29th may and call the hotel reception for the confirmation of my booking, and it was confirmed by some lady in the reception. I reached hotel on 27th may at around 10am, but the person in the reception said that there is no booking under my name, neither any email from Agoda stating I booked the resort and unfortunatly all rooms are booked. I dont know what kind of communication they have with Agoda, but it seems that their internal communication is also very poor. To Shamrock, First learn how to treat a guest.
