We had a wonderful and peaceful stay at this resort! Its a perfect place to relax, unwind, and spend quality time with family, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The atmosphere was calm and refreshing, making our stay truly memorable. The beautiful surroundings, peaceful ambience, and overall experience made it worth every moment. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Very Disappointing Experience at Spice Jungal Resort Managed by MAAT Hotels I booked a Deluxe AC room at Spice Jungal Resort based on the information and photographs available online. Unfortunately, my familys actual experience was completely different from what we expected. I visited with my family and booked two rooms. The room cleanliness was extremely poor, and both rooms had a very unpleasant smell. The service was pathetic, and even basic amenities, such as curtains, were missing from the room. The overall condition of the rooms was disappointing and did not meet reasonable expectations for a hotel stay. My experience with the manager, Anvar, was equally disappointing. When we arrived, he appeared to be heavily intoxicated and behaved very unprofessionally. He was uncooperative when we needed assistance, which made an already uncomfortable situation even worse for my family. Another major concern is the propertys location. The cottages are situated considerably below the main road, making access inconvenient, particularly at night. Please consider this carefully before booking, especially if you are travelling with family. My sincere advice to future travellers: Do not rely solely on online photographs and descriptions. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Spice Jungal Resort to families. I would also advise travellers to carefully verify the conditions and management of any other property operated by MAAT Hotels before making a booking. I am attaching actual photographs from my stay so that prospective guests can see the conditions I experienced and make an informed decision. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves its standards of cleanliness, basic amenities, hospitality, and customer service.

Loved the environment and hospitality at Spicy Jungle Hotel! It truly feels like a real mountain stay. The staff are very calm, polite, and helpful by nature. The rooms are also exceptionally clean and very spacious. The highlight of our trip was the night bonfire with musicthat was absolutely amazing! The morning breakfast was also very tasty and of good quality. Highly recommended for a visit; this is definitely the best place to stay in Munnar

First of all, the customer service was the worst. I've already made payment while booking the stay and I didn't even receive any calls or messages about the details or notification. They weren't even cared to check on their guests to ensure smooth arrival. The reason I'm saying that is the road to the resort was downhill and it was totally damaged so normal cars can't go through that road, only off-road vehicles can. I even tried calling the resort multiple times through the number in the booking and also in the sms that they've sent. No response. I had to walk in that slippery mud with the luggage just to hear "Oh, we should've called. That was our mistake". What an irresponsible customer service. And that poor service didn't stop there, they said there'll be a jeep service to go uphill to reach the main road until 10pm but when I called at 9:45pm; they said there is some issue with the jeep and can't take us to the main road. We were hungry and they even stopped taking food orders, that's why we asked them to drop us on the main road. We slept hungry that night. Great way to torture the guests. Good job, Maat Hotels

Great stay with wonderful staffs. They have everything you need. All you just need to talk someone. Environment is really peaceful and we just enjoyed a lot here. Keep uu the good work. Best wishes.
