Visit to Thalathoor Heritage , a homestay with a unique ambience will be cherished for ever ! In the midst of a green patch of arecanut garden, multiple fruit plants ,jack fruits filled trees etc we experienced the ultimate in luxury . The great host, famous for her traditional cuisine ,Mrs Shyamala Nair surprised and clean bowled us with a unique welcome drink ( the drink should be patented in her name for sure ! ) and there we were inside a hamlet representing the aristocracy and history of those who built it years before! With sparkling rosewood beams and wooden ceilings , ornamental door frames and a swing in the main bed room in the upstairs ,Thalathoor Heritage is now globally known and a much sought after heritage homestay in North Kerala . The traditional recipes prepared by the host made the famous Chefs of nearby five star hotels of Bekal to come and experience the mouth watering dishes of Thalathoor Heritage ! Shyamala Nairs passion for hosting motivated several newcomers to embrace hospitality business in this region which invariably helped to make Kasaragod as a much sought after destination for experiential tourism . Theyyam,Yakshagana, Puppet museum,temple, mosques , forts ,rivers,forests ,beaches etc can be experienced here and all within 25-30 square kms from this property ! The service of eminent story tellers is also arranged on request for sight seeing . Yes , we have the best value for our money with Thalathoor Heritage ,thanks to the most respectful host who meticulously maintains the charm of this heritage home ! Indeed a unique experience !

Staying at Thalathoor Heritage was truly a dream come true for me. Ive always wanted to experience an old heritage home surrounded by nature, and this place exceeded my expectations. The rooms beautifully preserve the charm of traditional architecture while being comfortable and peaceful. Waking up to greenery, birds, and fresh air felt like therapy for the soul. But the heart of this place is Shyamala aunty. What made this stay even more special She treated us like her own family and served us delicious, home-style food made with so much love. Her caramel banana is something I still miss it was unforgettable! Every meal felt like eating at home, full of warmth and authenticity. The entire stay was calm, relaxing, and filled with beautiful memories. I truly miss aunty and the peaceful atmosphere of this place. If youre visiting Kasargod and looking for a soulful, heritage experience, Thalathoor Heritage is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We had the pleasure of spending five nights at this wonderful homestay, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The house itself is charming and meticulously maintained, surrounded by a stunning garden filled with beautiful trees and a crystal-clear pond. Waking up each morning to the sound of birdsong and the fresh, clean air was simply magical. Shyamala is an incredibly warm and welcoming host who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Her kindness and hospitality created such a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Every day, she delighted us with a variety of delicious traditional dishes, thoughtfully adapting the recipes to suit our taste preferences. Her knowledge and connections in the city were invaluable, as she provided fantastic advice and assistance with everything we needed during our stay. This was by far the most beautiful and enriching experience Ive had in India, and I cant wait to return to this magical place and stay even longer. Highly recommended!

During my stay in Kasaragod from January to March 2025, I had the privilege of living at Thalathoor Heritage with Mrs. Shyamala Nair, and it has truly been the best time I have spent here in Kasaragod since I first moved here in 2019. The warmth of this place, the incredible hospitality, and the unforgettable food made my experience nothing short of extraordinary. From neer dosa and mango pachadi to mushroom biryani and the grand, flavorful sadhya and much more, every meal was a celebration of taste and tradition. I know I will miss this food every single day once I leave. Shyamala Aunty has been an incredible host and an inspiring presence. Managing her homestay with such grace and efficiency, she is a true boss lady, and someone so many women can look up to. Her kindness and companionship made my stay even more special, and I feel incredibly lucky to have spent these months with her. Beyond her hospitality, she has kept the 300-year-old history of Thalathoor Heritage alive, preserving its charm and significance. The homestays garden is a paradise in itself, filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, and stunning flowers. One of my favorite experiences was plucking guavas straight from the tree and eating them, a simple yet unforgettable joy. The farm-to-table meals here, with produce picked fresh from the garden, made every meal feel wholesome and special. Living in Thalathoor Heritage was not just about comfort and food; it was also an experience of cultural diversity. In my short stay, I met people from all over India and from across the world, like Switzerland, Germany, Norway, and beyond. It was truly heartwarming to see how this place brings people together, making it a unique and enriching space. As I prepare to leave, I know that Thalathoor and the memories Ive made here will always have a special place in my heart. I can't wait to be back here again.
