The Shade is an amazing place to stay. Quiet, only the birds which are beautiful. Host and hostess were very kind, showed us around the garden which was full of spices, nutmeg, cardamom, chillies also cashew nut tree. We really enjoyed staying here.

Really good Homestay. Felt like home and uncle Santosh took great care of our three days of stay. Auntys food is fantastic. They have a nice farm with lots of spices, flowers, and vegetables. Highly recommended

Such an incredible homestay! Santosh and his family were very welcoming and hospitable. It's tucked away in a nice quiet area which made for a peaceful stay. Although it isn't right in town, they are happy to help with organising transport and activities. The view from the balcony is breathtaking, you're surrounded by nature and it's great for bird watching. Rooms were spacious and clean and the food provided was delicious.

Great host family, able to cater special needs for our daughter (5yrs), tasty breakfast and dinner. Amazing view and very calm. Still, you're in busy downtown Munnar and the area within a reasonable amount of time (20-40min drive).

A quiet, laid-back homestay near Munnar. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Great hospitality from the owner Mr Santosh and his family. The home cooked food here is delicious. The mountain views from the balcony and dining room are quite beautiful. We had a great stay at this place. Suggest to rent a cab or come by own transport as it is located at some distance from Munnar town. If you are looking for a calm and quiet atmosphere, this is the place to be.
