Excellent Stay at Villa Retreat First of all, all the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. We booked a travelers' room, and it was comfortable and suitable for our needs. The only minor issue was that the heater did not work properly at times; otherwise, everything was good. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and included a variety of items such as Poori, Plain Dosa, Masala Dosa, Vada, and Pongal. We also enjoyed the lunch, which featured Kulcha, Egg Noodles, Egg Rice, Pepper Chicken, Chilli Chicken, and Biryani. All the food was tasty and well prepared. The staff provided friendly service and responded promptly whenever we needed assistance. There is a beautiful viewpoint right in front of the canteen, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. They were also kind enough to keep our luggage safely until the evening after checkout, which was very helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Villa Retreat. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book Villa Retreat again on our next visit!

I recently stayed for four nights with my family in the Perumal Malai View Room during mid-May, and overall, the experience was pleasant with a few areas that could be improved. Pros: The biggest highlight of the property is undoubtedly its serene location and beautiful valley views, which can be enjoyed both from the restaurants front yard and the room balcony. The breakfast buffet was impressive, especially the traditional South Indian dishes, complemented by a few la carte options. Another major advantage is the hotels excellent location Coaker's Walk and Bryant Park are situated very close to the entrance, while Kodaikanal Lake and the local market are within walking distance. The hospitality and courteous nature of the hotel staff also deserve special appreciation. Cons: On the other hand, the rooms across categories appear slightly overpriced considering the overall facilities offered. The food quality during regular meals was average compared to the excellent breakfast experience. Although the property enjoys a prime location, it can get noisy at times due to its proximity to the adjacent road, open parking area near Kodai Resort, early morning sounds over the valley from nearby churches & mosque and the constant movement of visitors heading to Coakers Walk. Additionally, while the cool weather in Kodaikanal may explain the absence of air conditioning, the rooms also do not have ceiling fans, which some guests may still prefer for ventilation at low speed. It would also be helpful for the hotel to consider providing room heaters during the colder winter & rainy season. Overall, the stay was enjoyable, mainly because of the scenic location, accessibility, and warm hospitality. However, there is definitely scope for improvement in terms of room amenities, pricing, and noise management to enhance the overall guest experience further.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Retreat for two days, and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. The ambiance was serene, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We stayed in the Mini Sun View Room, which was extremely cozy and comfortable. I was especially impressed by the cleanliness of both the room and the entire propertyit was maintained exceptionally well. A huge shoutout to the restaurant staff, reception team, and the gardener uncle, who is such a kind-hearted and warm person. Every staff member we interacted with was attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. Their welcoming smiles and dedication to providing excellent service truly stood out and made our stay even more memorable. The complimentary buffet breakfast was good, and the dinner menu was equally impressive with delicious food and great service. The overall experience was relaxing, rejuvenating, and exceeded our expectations. Kudos to the entire Villa Retreat team, and thank you for making our stay so special and memorable. We highly recommend Villa Retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

Great location, centrally located, with all tourist spots within walking distance. Rooms & garden offer a nice view of the hills and valleys. Service was also good, although flexibility of meals availability in the restaurant throughout the day would have made the experience even better.

Excellent Stay with Stunning Valley Views We were two couples and stayed at Villa Retreat, Kodaikanal for 3 nights, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking valley view from the room. Spending time on the garden lawn, surrounded by beautiful views, cool breeze, and the soothing sounds of birds chirping was incredibly refreshing. The sunrise from the garden is absolutely mesmerizing and is something you shouldn't miss. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and every meal we had was fresh, homely, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were also very accommodating and happy to customize the food to suit our preferences, which made us feel truly cared for. If you're looking for a peaceful stay with spectacular views, great food, and warm hospitality, Villa Retreat is definitely worth it. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it.
